Good Morning Tri-Valley! October is shaping up to be an incredible month of fun events!

🍻 5th Annual Oktoberfest Returns to Downtown Pleasanton!

Get ready to break out your lederhosen — SideTrack’s Oktoberfest is back on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18, transforming downtown Pleasanton into a lively biergarten!

This free, two-day celebration is all about good food, good drinks, and plenty of festive fun. Think hearty German plates (sausages, potato salad, sauerkraut, and more), local brews and wine, plus sweet treats from Pleasanton’s own Primrose Bakery. To set the mood, Polkageist West takes the stage Friday night, followed by Alpen Band on Saturday, with live music both nights from 6–9 PM.

Entry is free, with food and drink tickets available at the door. Want guaranteed seating? A limited number of pre-purchase packages include reserved spots, a meal, and a commemorative SideTrack stein.

L Campo: A Taste of Spain in Downtown Livermore

Okay, full disclaimer — I love Spanish food. Some of my family’s best trips have been to Barcelona and Madrid, where we basically ate our way through the cities. So when I heard downtown Livermore was getting an authentic Spanish spot, I couldn’t wait to try it. And yes… L Campo was so good on our first visit that we went back the very next week with friends.

Ambience & Service
The remodel of the space is jaw-dropping. It’s modern and sleek, but still cozy enough that you want to linger over your meal. And the staff? Just as warm and welcoming as the vibe inside.

Drinks
L Campo doesn’t just pour drinks — they create experiences. The Smoky & Famous is a mezcal cocktail topped with a bubble you pop to release smoke (so fun), while the Royal Passion combines rum, passionfruit, and cava in the best way. They also serve delicious sangria (of course!) and a solid, approachable wine list with some local favs.

Food
This is tapas heaven. We shared patatas bravas, croquettes, grilled octopus, and jamón ibérico — all incredible. For mains, the seafood paella took me right back to coastal Spain, while the steak paella, braised chicken, and 48-hour short rib were hearty, flavorful standouts. Pro tip: order the saffron rice with the braises so you don’t waste a drop of that sauce. And dessert? The almond cake and churros with chocolate are both must-orders.

Downtown Livermore scored big with L Campo — it’s authentic, exciting, and absolutely worth a visit.

I’m a huge John C. Reilly fan and I’ve seen almost all his films. He’s one of those rare actors who can steal the show in Step Brothers, Chicago, or Boogie Nights—always funny, always memorable, and always just so him.

Now he’s bringing something brand new to Livermore! On Monday, October 13th at 7:30pm, John C. Reilly takes the stage at the Bankhead Theater with his latest project, Mister Romantic.

This one-night-only performance has been called “fiercely funny” and one of the best shows of the year. It’s part vaudeville, part cabaret, with timeless songs from legends like Tom Waits, Edith Piaf, and Irving Berlin—all wrapped up in John C. Reilly’s trademark warmth and wit. 🍴🎶 A Taste of Country at the Blackhawk Auto Museum

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 1st — the Blackhawk Auto Museum will come alive with A Taste of Country, a benefit event for the ALS Cure Project.

Guests will enjoy tastings from 12 local restaurants, craft drinks, and an incredible night of live country music featuring Nashville recording artists The Jennifer Grant Band, plus hometown favorites Ric Hines & The One Country Band.

Proceeds support the ALS Cure Project, a nonprofit dedicated to uncovering how ALS develops and identifying the keys that will lead to new treatments — and ultimately, a cure.

I can’t lie, these two pups are my nieces! Piper is the large Lab while Trulie is the adorable Havapoo. These two are besties and love barking at the gardener and cuddling with each other!
