Ramen, Katsu & Sushi Hidden Gem
🍜 Hidden Gem Alert: Kiseki in Livermore
My youngest was craving ramen last week, so we headed to Kiseki on N. Vasco — and all I can say is… how have I not been here before?!
The menu is extensive: ramen, yakitori, curry, udon, soba, donburi, and sushi. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with wine, beer, and those fun Japanese sodas you pop open yourself.
We started with the Firecracker Roll (a lightly fried spicy tuna roll) — major hit. For mains, she chose the Spicy Miso Ramen and I went with the Chicken Katsu Curry. Portions were generous (hello, next-day leftovers).
The ramen was packed with noodles, pork, and veggies in a rich, spicy miso broth — perfect for a cold night. My katsu was crispy outside, juicy inside, with a deeply satisfying curry sauce.
Kiseki is tucked into the N. Vasco strip mall and feels like a total hidden gem. Already planning our next visit.

TWO New Playgrounds in the Tri-Valley

Left: Pleasanton’s Moller Park. Right: Danville South Park
🛝 New Playgrounds in Pleasanton + Danville
If my kids were still in their playground era, we’d be there immediately. Pleasanton just opened a refreshed, more accessible playground at Moller Park (goodbye old structure 👋), and Danville South Park is debuting its newly renovated play space February 20. Think climbing, balancing, spinning, and better flow for all ages. Such a win for Tri-Valley families with littles!
