Dinner Event of the Year - 8 Courses Paired with Wine

🍷 Terroir at the Table Is Coming — And I’ll Be There

I am so excited for this one.

Terroir at the Table (March 7 at the Martinelli Event Center) is bringing together some of the most talented female chefs and winemakers in Livermore Valley for an intimate 8-course tasting experience — and the pairings are going to be incredible.

Each course is created by a celebrated local female chef and paired with wine from a female-led winery. It’s a beautiful celebration of women, craftsmanship, and community — all in one room.

Beyond the food and wine (which I already know will be exceptional), it’s also a chance to connect, meet the makers, and celebrate the inaugural Woman of the Year.

These are the kinds of nights that remind you why Livermore Valley is so special.

Sprinkles is OPEN again in San Ramon!

🧁 Sprinkles Is Back in San Ramon

Okay I’m not exaggerating when I say I was genuinely sad when Sprinkles closed. I have tried to recreate their cupcakes at home more times than I can count (thank you, internet recipes)… and they are never quite as good as the real thing.

So this is happy news: Sprinkles at City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon has officially reopened after the nationwide shutdown on New Year’s Eve.

They’re starting with limited hours and a smaller menu before ramping back up. For now, it’s one of only two Bay Area locations open.

If you need me, I’ll be grabbing a red velvet.

13-Time Grammy Nominee Headed to San Ramon!

🎹 Bruce Hornsby Is Coming to San Ramon

If “The Way It Is” instantly started playing in your head… same.

The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist (13 nominations, three wins) will perform with his band The Noisemakers in support of his new album Indigo Park — a collection that moves between light and dark, calm and chaos.

It’s not every day a legendary artist plays such an intimate local venue.

Where Did the Vineyards Go?

🍇 What’s Happening in South Livermore’s Vineyards?

If you’ve driven through South Livermore lately, you may have noticed something different — more open fields where vines once stood.

Over half of the area’s vineyard acreage has been removed in recent years as aging vines (typically 20–40 years old) reach the end of their lifecycle. After vines are pulled, the soil must rest before any potential replanting — and right now, many growers are facing tough financial decisions about whether to replant at all.

At a recent public forum hosted by Tri-Valley Conservancy, local leaders shared that about 300 acres have been removed annually since 2022. More may follow.

The good news? Livermore Valley is faring better than the wine industry overall, and there’s a renewed focus on signature varietals like Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. With new leadership at the Livermore Valley Wine Community and continued collaboration, the long-term goal is sustainability and stronger demand.

It’s a challenging moment — but also an opportunity for thoughtful growth. Click here for more information.

A Sandwich Worth Visiting

Not sure who needs to hear this… but I’m absolutely going this week. 😍

Patisserie by Simone and Marty’s Joint Food Truck just dropped a collab sandwich and it looks heavenly. We’re talking brisket on a buttery croissant, topped with tangy Memphis-style coleslaw and sharp cheddar. Yes, please.

This is exactly what makes the Tri-Valley so special — local makers teaming up to create something fun and delicious for the community. Food really is the best catalyst for creativity and connection.

You can grab it at Patisserie by Simone in Livermore.

See you there. 🥐🔥
