I love spicy food. I love chicken sandwiches. So when I spotted the Dave’s Hot Chicken sign going up at the old BofA spot in the Livermore Lowe’s shopping center about six weeks ago… I may have let out a little yessss.

My in-laws live in San Luis Obispo, and we’ve hit up Dave’s down there a few times—it’s solid. Super simple menu: pick a sandwich or strips, choose your heat level (from “No Spice” to “Reaper”), and grab a few sides. My kids are already plotting their orders. And honestly? So am I. Instagram says they open on Friday!
