World Cup Fever Coming to San Ramon!

The World Cup is right around the corner, and San Ramon is celebrating some incredible homegrown soccer talent.

City Center Bishop Ranch is kicking things off with Homegrown Pros: A World Cup Celebration on May 17 from 2–4pm. The event will include soccer contests, photo ops, Q&As, and a new banner installation honoring local athletes who got their start right here in the Tri-Valley.

Guests can hear from Chris Wondolowski of the San Jose Earthquakes and U.S. Men’s National Team, meet members of Bay FC’s Founding Four, and enjoy selfie stations with replica World Cup trophies.

There will also be a soccer shooting contest on the lawn in Alexander Square, with prizes for participants (no cleats).

Cinco de Mayo Patio Party THIS Saturday!

I’ve been to this celebration the last two years, and it is always such a fun time!

This Saturday, May 2Rosa Fierro Cellars and The Steven Kent Winery are teaming up for a Cinco de Mayo Celebration on the patio outside their tasting rooms on Vasco Row.

There will be live music from Algo Has, an amazing band playing Santana favorites, old school hits, and Latin rock, plus delicious food available from Carnitas Aguirre.

The event runs 5:30–8:30pm at 2245 S. Vasco Road in Livermore.

Do Your Teens Have the Durable Human Skills to Succeed in an AI Workforce?

With AI, college, future jobs, and the question of what skills will actually matter constantly on my mind, this feels like a timely conversation for a lot of parents.

These upcoming sessions focus on the durable human skills kids will need for the future, like creativity, resilience, empathy, curiosity, self-awareness, relationship skills, and decision-making.

The big idea is that while technology keeps changing, these human skills are becoming even more important.

Tickets start at $30, and upcoming sessions will be held in San Ramon, Danville, and Dublin over the next couple of months.

You’ll be matched with 5 people you don’t know yet, and you won’t get your restaurant assignment until the day of the event.

  • Car show season is kicking off in the Tri-Valley with the Ferrari Club of America Pacific Region’s Car Show at the Blackhawk Museum. The free show takes place Sunday, May 3 from 10am–2pm and will feature everything from iconic classics to modern supercars.
