Ask the Expert with Katie Moe from Connect California Homes!

We are SUPER excited to collaborate with Katie Moe, founding partner of Connect California Homes, for a monthly Q&A on all things real estate in the Tri-Valley!

QUESTION: What advice do you have for homeowners who want to sell their current home and buy another without feeling completely overwhelmed?

ANSWER from Katie Moe: This is one of the biggest stress points I see in the Tri-Valley. The key is strategy and timing — not luck. Start by understanding local market conditions and your home’s true market value so you can confidently plan your next move. In partnership with your Realtor, you can see what options you have to possibly buy before you sell or  write a contingent offer, the current market conditions combined with what ‘kind’ of move you are making inform your approach. You can also explore tools like bridge loans. They come at a cost but offer peace of mind, it all depends on your comfort level. I always create a step-by-step timeline for my clients that balances logistics and emotions — because this is about more than real estate; it’s about your life in transition.

Connect California Homes is redefining real estate in the East Bay with authenticity, advocacy, and a true commitment to community. Founded by Katie Moe and her partners, this team of expert agents brings creative strategies and tailored support that go far beyond buying and selling. They’re here to build lasting relationships and make every client feel at home from the very first connection.

Bikes & Brews This Weekend!

🚴‍♀️🍻 Bikes & Brews is Back!

Another one of Livermore traditions is coming back this weekend — the 7th Annual Bikes & Brews! This one-day celebration kicks off with a 12-mile, 21+ group bike ride through some awesome local breweries, and ends with a huge Post-Ride Party at Carnegie Park that’s open to everyone — riders and non-riders alike.

The day is packed with local food trucks, beers and wines, live music, raffles, auctions, and so much community fun. Best of all, every ticket helps support Kids Bike Lane, giving local children in need their very first bike, helmet, and lock. Over the years, this event has provided 376 bikes — and those delivery-day smiles are priceless.

Mark your calendars, grab your friends, and let’s make this year’s Bikes & Brews the best one yet!
