An Italian Gem in Danville!
Italian food is my weakness, and Taverna Sorrentina in downtown Danville absolutely lived up to the hype.
The hubs and I tried to walk in on a busy Friday night last month, and they were completely booked. Lesson learned.
This time, we made reservations and had the best date night. We sat outside on a warm summer evening, started with cocktails, and I loved my Giallo Limone. My husband had their take on an Old Fashioned, called the Affumicato.
For an appetizer, we ordered the Arancini, which are basically melt-in-your-mouth risotto balls. They were huge, and honestly, I could have eaten those all night.
For dinner, I had the Pappardelle Al Tartufo with creamy truffle sauce, sausage, mushrooms, and black truffle. It was so good my husband ate half of it, which means I sadly had no leftovers.
He ordered the Bolognese, and it was one of the best I’ve ever tried. The food was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the whole night felt like such a treat.
Taverna Sorrentina is an absolute gem in downtown Danville. Reservations are definitely recommended.
