Rosmarino: A Fresh Take on Italian in San Ramon!
There’s a new Italian gem in the Tri-Valley! Restaurateurs Theresa Schreiber and Margarito Paz have opened Rosmarino in San Ramon. Named after the rosemary herb and as a tribute to their mothers—both named Mary—Rosmarino serves up a California-inspired twist on Italian cuisine, with locally sourced ingredients and a menu that changes with the seasons. Schreiber, who also owns Livermore’s Azotea Cocina and Cocktail Club, brings her passion for creating memorable dining experiences to this new venture.
The hubs and I tried Rosmarino last week, and let me tell you—it was the perfect date night. From the warm, attentive service to the beautiful presentation and incredible flavors, this spot checks every box.
What we ordered:
STARTERS
Warm Goat Cheese – If you’re a goat cheese fan, this is a must. The creamy cheese paired with tomato compote and grilled bread was simply divine.
Clams with Fennel Sausage – The surprise star of the night! Fresh clams, flavorful Italian fennel sausage, and a sauce of garlic, white wine, lemon, and chili. Pro tip: soak the bread in that sauce—you won’t regret it.
ENTREE
Lasagna – My husband is a self-proclaimed lasagna expert, and this one got his stamp of approval. Layers of beef, pork, mozzarella, béchamel, and just the right amount of spinach, all smothered in a rich, hearty sauce. The portion was generous enough for leftovers the next day.
Frutti di Mare – A gorgeous plate both visually and in flavor. Perfectly cooked scallops (you can opt for salmon), paired with heirloom tomatoes, squash, corn, arugula, peas, basil, and champagne butter. A fresh, seasonal spin on a classic.
DRINKS
Rosmarino’s bar program is impressive, but we couldn’t resist exploring their Italian wine selection by the glass. My Barbera di Asti from Piemonte was velvety and rich, and the Super Tuscan my husband ordered was so good, he went for a second glass. If Italian wines aren’t your thing, they also have a lineup of familiar domestic wines and craft cocktails.
DESSERT
We didn’t save room this time, but I’m already planning a return visit for their Tiramisu and Chocolate Rum Cake.
SERVICE
From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was top-notch. Our server, Sebastian, was warm, knowledgeable, and made thoughtful recommendations—he’s the kind of server who makes a great meal even better.
BOTTOM LINE
Rosmarino is a must-try for Italian lovers. It’s a modern, cozy addition to the Tri-Valley dining scene, and I’m still dreaming about those Clams with Fennel Sausage!
Rosmarino is located at 2065 San Ramon Valley Blvd. in San Ramon. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 5pm-9pm. Click here for Reservations.

TASTE - The Wine & Food Event of the Year!
TASTE Weekend is coming, and I’m beyond excited! Livermore Valley is rolling out dozens of incredible events, but these three are absolute musts.
Ocean & Vine – The Women’s Wine Collective is taking over Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort & Spa with a stunning Sauvignon Blanc and seafood pairing. Think 8 crisp, vibrant Sauv Blancs matched with fresh seafood bites—pure heaven.
Cluck Cluck Cab Franc – McGrail Vineyards hosts this playful yet serious exploration of Cabernet Franc and Chicken! Enjoy 10+ Livermore Valley Cabernet Francs paired with all things chicken—crispy sliders, spicy wings, you name it. Taste, vote, repeat.
Valley, Views & Vines – Grab your hiking boots! A guided stroll through historic Murrieta’s Well ends with sweeping vineyard views and Sauvignon Blanc tastings paired with artisanal charcuterie.
This is Livermore Valley at its best—wine, food, views, and unforgettable experiences. Don’t miss out!

Thank You Tri-Valley Locksmith!
Picture this: It’s 3 PM on a Friday, company is coming for dinner, and my youngest somehow removed the doorknob from the guest bathroom—leaving the door completely stuck.
After striking out with a couple of local locksmiths, I reached Daryl at Tri-Valley Locksmith. He was literally heading out of town for the weekend, but since he was just a few miles away, he offered to swing by.
Our stubborn door gave him a run for his money, but Daryl worked his magic—got it open, reattached the hardware, and saved the day. Talk about above-and-beyond service! Be sure to check out Tri-Valley Locksmith for all your lockout, re-keying, or key-related emergencies!
