Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is Coming to Livermore!
I love this Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, so I’m super excited about this one!
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is returning to The Bankhead with their high-energy mix of swing, jazz, and New Orleans-inspired sounds.
They are known for putting on such a fun live show, with the kind of music that makes it almost impossible to sit still.
Expect big-band energy, toe-tapping tunes, classic cool, and a night that brings the spirit of the swing era back to the stage.
Definitely a fun one to have on your Bankhead list. This show is on Friday September 11th at 8pm. Click here for tickets!

Livermore Valley Rotary Community BBQ
The Livermore Valley Rotary Club is bringing back its Community BBQ & Fundraiser on Saturday, September 12th, and this sounds like a great family-friendly afternoon at Carnegie Park.
The event is free to attend and runs from 11am–4pm, with BBQ and refreshments available for purchase, local vendors in the Maker’s Market, a Kid Zone with jump houses, and live cultural performances celebrating the diversity of the Tri-Valley.
Proceeds support Livermore Valley Rotary’s community programs, including youth programs, scholarships, service projects, humanitarian efforts, and other local initiatives that help families throughout the area.
Bring the kids, grab lunch, shop local makers, and enjoy a day in the park while supporting a really good cause. Click here for more information!

The Scottish Games are BACK This Weekend!

The Scottish Games are back at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, and this year is a big one.
The 160th annual celebration brings Highland dancing, piping and drumming, sheepdog trials, Celtic music, heavy athletics, birds of prey, living history, and the 2026 Men’s Scottish Heavy Athletics World Championships.
Add in the Grandstand Show with massed pipe bands, and this is one of Pleasanton’s most iconic Labor Day weekend traditions.

Oktoberfest Fun

Oktoberfest is just around the corner, and you do not need a plane ticket to Germany to get in on the fun.
The Worth Group is celebrating Oktoberfest from September 17 through October 4 with German-inspired specials across all three of its East Bay restaurants, including The Bourbon Pear in downtown Livermore and The Peasant & The Pear in Danville.
Expect bratwurst, beer, German pretzels, and more seasonal Oktoberfest favorites.
This is an easy one to add to your fall list, whether you’re grabbing dinner, meeting friends for drinks, or just looking for an excuse to order a giant pretzel.
Prost to that!

New Restaurant Alert in Danville!

Rancho Cantina is officially open in downtown Danville, and I cannot wait to try this one.
Danville residents Nico and Alice Tzikas brought their popular Lafayette restaurant concept to Hartz Avenue, with a menu inspired by Spanish and Mexican-California cuisine.
Expect wood-fired dishes, fajita skillets, tacos, burritos, margaritas, cocktails, and housemade lemonades.
