First Bite - Naschmarkt Brings Austrian Flair to Downtown Pleasanton!

Naschmarkt officially opened its doors on April 1st—no joke—and downtown Pleasanton hasn’t stopped buzzing since. With popular sister restaurants in Campbell and Palo Alto, this newest outpost fills the former Pairings Wine Bar space with something totally fresh for the Tri-Valley: authentic Austrian cuisine with a modern twist.

Schnitzel? Yes. Goulash? Of course. Strudel? Naturally. But don’t expect a by-the-book Bavarian menu—Naschmarkt is full of surprises, from bold flavors to inventive takes on classics that feel right at home in downtown Pleasanton.

The husband and I carved out a rare date night (parents, you know the drill) and snagged a cozy table for two. First up: the Garlic Soup and Homemade Pretzel with beer cheese sauce. Both were hits, but let’s talk about my husband's daring dip—pretzel into soup. I wanted to judge, but honestly? It was delicious. 🥨

For mains, we couldn’t not order the Classic Wiener Schnitzel—it was golden, crispy, and absolutely divine. We also cozied up with the Chicken Pot Pie, which came with the flakiest puff pastry lid I’ve ever laid eyes on. It tasted like comfort food straight out of Vienna, with a little California sunshine baked in. 😎

Did we have room for dessert? Tragically, no. But now we’ve got the perfect excuse to go back—Strudel, you’re next.

Dublin Announces Farmers Market Theme Nights and Summer Concert Series!

The Dublin Farmers’ Market is officially back at Emerald Glen Park! Swing by every Thursday evening from 4–8 PM through September 25—rain or shine—for fresh finds and fun vibes.

You’ll find all your market favorites: locally grown produce, artisan breads, honey, nuts, fresh pasta, and more. Hungry? Grab dinner from one of the hot food vendors and enjoy it picnic-style while you shop.

If you missed Non-Profit Night last week, don’t worry—there are plenty more themed nights coming your way:
